All Pro front long travel on 4th gen

So I have a buddy who is selling his 14' FJ he is trying to part out some of it to make a little back on the mods. I have searched and search everywhere I can, I've even emailed and tried to call All Pro with no answer.

So here is my question, is there any reason the long travel kit won't fit on my 04' 4runner? No one I can find is running this kit on their 4th gens. Some one said that I might have some fitment issues "because the kit was designed for the newer FJs and tacomas and 5th gen 4runners and there are some small frame differences". Not sure how accurate all this is though.

I know there are a few guys on here that run this kit on their 5th gens and seem to like it. He's selling it for a steal of a deal. Almost half of what it would cost to buy the whole thing, COs and LT. The only issue is that if I buy the kit, my old parts have to go on his truck so if it doesn't fit then we just wasted a lot of time hahaha.

2nd gen tacoma, 4th Gen 4Runners and FJ suspension are all interchangeable for the front.

The bolt holes for the lower shock and the LCA are slightly larger on J150 platforms (i.e. 2010+ 4Runner & 2010~2014 FJ Cruisers). Not a big deal and totally workable, you'll want to search some threads where guys have swapped 5th gen suspension on their 4th for more details on what's needed to make it work.

Your buddy will just have a 5th gen with a 4th gen LCA/UCA and shock, and you'll have a 4th gen with a 5th gen spec long travel LCA/UCA and shock. Sounds like that might work? You won't have to mess with shock eyelet sizes is what I'm trying to say.

The only issue is going to be if the Long Travel Kit has different LCAs. The reason is because the 2014 FJ Cruiser uses larger diameter LCA bolts than the 2007~2009 FJ Cruiser and 4th gens. This isn't going to be too big an issue for the 4th gen as you can either have sleeves made to take up the extra space and/or modify the LCA bracket/tabs on the frame to fit the larger hardware.

The bigger problem will be when your buddy tries to bolt up the 4th gen LCA to the FJ Cruiser, it will not work as well as the other way around.

That is assuming this LT Kit has replacement LCAs I didn't look it up.

If you swap the 2010~2014 FJ LCA on your 4th gen, it will have the correct bolt hole for the lower shock mount. But the bolts for the LCA (the ones with the cams) are larger on 2010~2014 FJ & 2010~Current 4Runners than the 4th gen and that's where you'll run into issues (I believe our LCA bolts are 12mm in diameter and the newer 5th gens and FJs use a 14mm diameter bolt?)

Trying to figure out how to get the OME BP-51s installed on mine since ARB doesn't seem to be in a hurry to release their 4th gen set. They currently just have it for the FJ 2010+

Uhm... I don't know if the balljoint bracket (the part with two bolts that secures to the spindle) is the same size as the 4th gen... I would assume so, but I haven't measured it. But the balljoint itself should be the same size I believe.
