Hello - first post here in years. I almost pulled the trigger on a 4Runner back in 2012 when I registered, but ended up in a Tacoma. At first it made complete sense, but lately I haven't used the bed for much so I'm thinking of getting a 5th gen limited to get some dry storage behind the second row and lose a bit of vehicle length. Plus I'm getting weak in my old age and some of the creature comforts of the limited are appealing.
Now before I get shit on for not searching, this isn't a thread about running 275/55's - that's a topic that has been beat to death and I don't have much desire to run equipment out of spec with the narrow wheels.
What I'm asking is does anybody run a stock 245/60/20 all terrain and do you have pics?
I see that Toyo makes their Open Country AT2 in that size (this may be a new thing). It's not a super aggressive tire, but I think it compliments the limited capabilities quite well with the more aggressive tires being left to the more off road oriented trims. It's the sameish diameter as those running 275/55, but still might have to pizza cutter look being over an inch narrower.
I'm not an off roader, but my wife and I love to go out rock climbing. We hit up some gravel trails, where AT tires would be nice, but nothing that is too challenging. In fact the Tacoma on KO2's never even needs 4wd engaged unless there is some snow on the ground.
Anyways, sorry for the long post, but I'd love to see some pics of more aggressive tires in stock size! I did a search, but came up empty.
