All traction-related lights came on, then went away.

OK, I'm sure everything is fine but I just want to make sure:

This afternoon I was doing some maintenance and I managed to drop a socket wrench down into the abyss. I couldn't find it, so when I was done doing everything else I got in the truck and backed down the driveway and hit the brakes hard a few times to shake the wrench free, which worked.

About the fourth time I hit the brakes though, ALL the traction-related lights on the left side of the shift indicator as well as a steady beep came on.

I shut off the engine, waited a bit, and restarted it. All is normal now, I must have just irritated the system or something.

What caused all this happen? I mean, I know the brake pedal action did, but why?

Sounds like traction control was working when you slammed on the brakes. Normal.

This may sound like a really dumb question, but I've only owned my 4R for a few months...

If I were to get into a situation where traction control kicked in, I should expect the dash to light up and hear beeping?
