SOLVED: SEE POST 11
I am the new owner of a very tired 2008 T4R SR5 4WD. I drove it for about 1000 miles since buying, and noticed the lower intermediate steering shaft was binding.
I just finished replacing the steering shaft. I also replaced the CV axle at this time with the NAPA NCV 944052.
On the test drive, once I hit about 10/15 MPH, 3 things happen all at once:
Slip indicator light illuminates
A Beeping sound
The ABS fires. I can hear it and feel it thru the brake pedal.
Any idea what went wrong? This is a new symptom, and only occured since performing the above work.
Any advice is welcome.
