All weather mats

husky would be another choice, cheaper & not as good protection, but they're not out for the 2010 yet, thats why i suggested using cheap mats for a few months, otherwise the all weather mats seem to be your only answer. id still consider the weathertech if you go that route instead. WeatherTech Floor Mats, Weathertech Mats

Love my liners, pricey but much better than the OEM I used to have. Made by a great company also.

Thanks, that was the first week I got it and I had just finished installing the liners and Scotch-Garding the interior too. Its just me in there most of the time and Im pretty anti-clutter so I try and keep it fairly sterile in there.

After being the carpool mule for a carbine class, mountain trip, boating adventure, nor'easter escape vehicle, and everything else the mats are holding up nicely. I appreciate the additional coverage they provide over regular mats. The grooves are also not as deep so they clean easier than OEM mats. It doesnt look like it but they do have a level of tackiness to them.

They are just so awesome. We spend two weeks each summer on the beach at Martha's Vineyard. We take the truck out on the beach, and I'm in and out of it with my waders and boots on. So I track a huge amount of sand and water into the truck. The liners just about completely protect the floor. They are so much better than floor mats.

Air fresheners, I cant stand things hanging from the mirrors or sliding around in cupholders. These are out of sight and the scent circulates pretty good when the air is on.

Speaking of cleanliness, I need to clean the mud and empty brass out of the car this weekend :hunter:

GMZ, I'm over west in Norfolk and I'm looking to get a 2010 SR5 in the next month and the crazy flooding in our Hampton Roads area is a main reason. The other reason is that I have 200lbs worth of dog to haul around, so it's gonna be a great upgrade from my 2-door sports car.

It's quite disappointing to hear that the WeatherTech floorliners still aren't in development yet and that it'll take a while. Anyone know exactly how long?

My question to you GMZ is this: Do your cloth seats take a beating from getting wet when you get in it after being in the rain? I ask because my fiance has the same-appearing seats in her Matrix and they are all water-stained and dingy looking. I also ask bc I am contemplating leather vs cloth seats for this same reason. I have leather in my sports car and they are great for when I get in from the rain (and they're easier to clean dog hair off of vs cloth seats).

I also have a habit of upgrading to a T4R from sports cars (see sig). Between the Nor'easter and whatever hurricane hit back in Sep 06 I was high and dry in a cocoon of T4R goodness.

I would buy some cheapo mats to use in the interim, these liners are worth the wait and price I think.

My seats have been good to go, I treated them with Scotch Gard a few months ago and it has held up nicely. Dealer quoted me several hundred to do the job that 2 $5 cans of Scotch Gard did. I made a thread about my process.

I would go to Checkered Flag in Va Bch, I have had nothing less than stellar experiences with them for several years now. I bought 4R #2 from C. Barker in Va Bch and it was a good experience, but Checkered Flag puts the + in A+ IMO.
 
I ordered mine from Weathertech canada yesterday, and they emailed me and said they'll be here in 2 weeks or so.

I just got back from Costco (edmonton) and they have absolutely incredibly good looking mats, looked a lot like weathertech, set of 4 for 44 or 49 dollars. You might want to check your local one.
 
I had cloth in my old car and got leather in my new 4r, mostly because of my dog, It is much easier to clean of dog hair, I really just wipe it of with a damp towel and all the hair and dirt sticks to the cloth, the only problem with leather is it can scratch (but even my dogs paws dont scratch it) and after 5-6 years it will start to seem dryer every year.
I have no experience with scotchguard, but after reading GMZ's post Im thinking about trying it.
ETA: GMZ, does scotchguard need to be reapplied regularly and does it just prevent stuff from soaking in to the fabric, also does it smell?

Last thing I remember Scotch Guarding was my hush puppy shoes in elementary school. (what a dark and terrible period in fashion that was)

The only other Scotch Guarding I do is when I hide my Scotch so the in laws don't drink it all. I guard that stuff with my life! :P

I aired out my 4R for a couple hours after I did it and noticed no smell. Liquids will bead up on the treated cloth allowing them to be cleaned right off. I would re-apply it maybe once a year or so I think? Depending on use of course.

M1911-Nice pics I can never make up my mind between the mountains and the beach!
