They are though. They are stamped on the lenses with the DOT/SAE regulations they meet. I would agree they aren’t tested like the OEMs are and they are of lower quality than OEMs since the OEMs like Toyota have a much higher incentive to get you to come back to their brand

have you seen the quality of these aftermarket parts? Most of the time the beam is ass and the adjustment knobs are garbage

Just received my 2021 LED’s I bought online off FB marketplace.
Lenses are slightly scuffed up and I’m super disappointed. Bonehead didn’t use anything to buffer the lenses from the cardboard during shipping
Don’t know if I should try and resurface them with polish, or just sell them and try and find another pair.

depending on how bad, maybe wet sand them and buff them. you can make them look brand new. and then once the lenses look clear again, put a good ceramic coating on them. if you aren't comfortable doing that, see if a local detailer can do it for you. if you were local to me, I'd just help you do it. hopefully you get it sorted

Received my PlastiX today. Going to use that with either a foam applicator pad by hand, or even use one of those little lense towels you’d clean a pair of glasses with.
Fingers crossed that’s all I need and don’t have to get them professionally repaired.
Meguiars headlight protectant to be applied afterwards, if all goes well.
