Sorry, no pics yet, but I can't contain my excitement any longer. Thanks to help here and other stereo sites I am only a couple days away from installing my system.

Here is what is going in:
- Alpine 9885 with iPod control, steering wheel control and Aux for Sirius

- JL VR Components and Coaxials for the front and rear doors powered by a JL 300/4.

- JL Stealthbox powered by a JL 250/1

I can't wait. Will post pics soon!!!

I have a (somewhat) similar setup.... you'll love it. The difference is unbelieable (and I had the "upgraded" JBL system - what a joke that was)! And the ipod interface is nothing short of phenomenal. Enjoy!!!

I was thinking of the same system but keeping the factory radio. Maybe the xr component front speaker. If you don't mine me asking how did the entire system cost you? piece by piece:awais:

the xrs are the more expensive model. It goes TR, VR, XR, and ZR....

and now JL is about to switch it to like C5 or something like that.

You know your right. The xr's components are more expensive. I bet the sound better and clearer (my thought). Just a simple question do you lose the front dash and upper rear speakers once you install an aftermarket head unit into a 4runner.

Thank you.
