So the other day I saw my battery light flick on while driving for a few seconds so the next day when I went out I hooked up my Scanguage and sure enough within a few minutes of driving I'd noticed the voltage was dropping a little more than usual, sometimes down to 13.4ish and then as I expected all of a sudden voltage spiked to 16-18.2v and that persisted through turning off the vehicle with it returning to normal shortly after restarting. Voltage regulator is of course suspect and that suggests alternator replacement (upgrade). From all my checking through the forums what I can tell the general consensus is the best route for upgrade is to the CS-144. It'll be a couple of days before I get around to looking at the 4Runner again and ordering parts - any other suggestions or advice?
