The carbon ones are horrible. I saw they have smoked chrome. the chrome is tinted dark and the lense is clear. But it still has the red circle inside. I want all clear tails. I dont think they make them for the 03-08's

Technically, aren't our 4Runners considered rice as they are of Japanese origin?
Also, many seem to forget that Toyota who owns Lexus who subsequently made the "Altezza" (IS300 in the U.S.) was the one who made this fad popular.
I wouldn't go for the eBay tails. They won't be of the same quality as the ones found on your 4Runner now. If you do upgrade, be patient and hold out for the newer OEM LED tails. They look great, fit like they were made to and will last longer.

I'll say this, the majority of ebay tails are bad quality. I've had many sets. I have a weakness for this stuff. The first thing I do when I get a set of tails or projector headlights from ebay, I seal the seams with silicone. That makes them 110% better off the top. I agree, chrome "altezza's" look crappy. But go with the trucks colors and try to find a set that match pretty well, and they look good more times than not. They dont all look bad.

To each his own, but Rice isn't my cup of tea. Rice is only good on a plate with some soy sauce!
