altimeter/inclinometer help

Hey guys! I recently went with iroke to pull a transmission, but unfortunatly we didn't have all the tools we needed with us and we ran out of time....long story short we left without the trans. I'm gonna go back and finish it up and bring it home.

While we were there we got a few odds and ends and goodies for the trucks, one of the goodies was an oem altimeter from an 88 t4r. I got everything wiring and bracket for 50 bucks. The altimeter and inclinometer both work.....but the"adjust" knob for the inclinometer doesn't do any thing. It will free turn and pull out but it doesn't adjust anything. I decided to take it apart and well I can't figure out how to get the shaft that connect to the knob to adjust what its suppose to adjust( and a spring and sproket fell out and I don't know where they go)

Does any one have one the can take a pic of the gears for me? Or any ever had theirs apart??

Thanks! Ill post pics of the dissassembly when I can.

cant get it to work or is it broken?
mine, like the guy in the thread i posted, had been cranked too many times in one direction beyond its limit, which skipped some teeth. this was only occuring on the front/rear tilt-o-meter. But after some patience and gentle fingering, she was compliant, aligned and within specs :-) so whats the deal with rustbucket's?

im with you on that, brother. it took my forever to finally get mine right.
Are you missing any of the gears/sprockets/springs? must be? hmm, i hope you get it to your liking.

Thanks! I'm not missing any of the pieces I have everything. The sproket/spring for the "adjust" knob aren't where they need to be. See the first pic, I need to know where the spring goes so I can get the adjust knob to work properly.

could any of you get me a pic of yours taken apart.?a view from the bottom like this so i can see where this spring is suppose to go and i can get this working? also a close up pic of the gears also from the bottom.

so you have a lock and unlock button on it... is yours free to move or locked? i will pull mine and see if i can locate these pieces you took pics of so you can get it back together.:)

Yes. Inbetween the 2 inclimeter part is a "adjust" knob (bottom)that I assume is to fine tune them...the unit works flawlessly except for that lower knob. The lock knob to lock the dials works perfectly. Thank you and I await pics.
