That's the FJ one but similar idea. The 4runner ones are super rare in the USA

Right next to the fuel door release there is a small square hole that has a outlet if equipped with the light in not it will just be empty.

Very cool option for 1987.

Ok. So this is my best guess. The inclinometer was not available after the 1987 model. I know it can be added to any first gen 4runner, but I've not heard of one coming from the factory after 1987.

PS: I checked and have the plug in for the trouble light,,, but of course no light. Darn :yell:

Yeah, that must be it. I have 87, 88 and 89, all SR5 with all the power and sunroof. Only the the 87 comes with it.

I was lucky on my 85. Have the inclinometer/altimeter and the trouble light. PO kept everything unused and in original packaging.

I put in my ALT a few years ago...

My 88 had the rear heat,elec windows & locks, pwr ant,lite plug etc. but no alt so i added one off ebay a few yrs back for <100. i piggybacked off the cig lighter &:usa2: painted the whole dash a close (!) matching gray..
