aluminized or stainless?

Hi all,

I am getting ready to replace the exhaust on my 99. I have the option of either aluminized or stainless steel for the muffler. It is a Walker brand. I am not looking at aftermarket. Also I drive 75 miles one way to work, so I want something quiet and durable.

Stainless should be the way to go BUT, there are many alloys of stainless, some better than others but they are all susceptible to rust, though much less though than aluminized in my opinion.

stainless should have more beef and better corrosion resistance.

I agree that there are different alloys in stainless. This one has a lifetime warranty.
