I know I'm a little late. But I have a spare stock piece if you need it spencer....I like the way you think buddy. Hope you and puddy can work something out.....
be careful with those LED light strips. I have been messing around with some and ones that say they are waterproof are not. If these have the sticky back to them that will be an issue during the summer time. I have had several fall off my 4runner. I have that piece off now and i am working on some holders to replace the stock ones for led lights. As mine are really rusted out.
If you need someone to weld your design up I know a bunch of people that do that stuff where I live. (NC coast) These guys build custom aluminum t-tops for boats.

That maybe your best bet, easy to install and easy to manufacture. You may also want to look into a Toyota vinyl graph for it to finish off the look.

If you're going to be selling these, I am 99% sure you cannot put their name on it. 100% sure you cannot use their logo.
