Alway Hot Air Blowing

I have a 99 LTD with the electronic heater controls and the problem Im having is that there is always warm/hot air blowing through the vents regardless of the temp settings or the temp outside. I read somewhere about a thermostat under the glove box but cant find anything else about it. Anyone have similar issues or a possible fix.

it sounds like you have a mode door that's not functioning properly.

X2.The HVAC mode door is forcing air through the heater core only.

The electronic control has a self-diagnostic where it reports trouble faults in the temp window. the FSM has the details:

My guess is you'll pop a Code 41 (Air Mix Servo Control). Read on in the FSM and it tells you how to troubleshoot.
