Am I a bad husband?

She knows how much it costs and has agreed to it, I'm doing it this way so that I can surprise her. If I bought it all at once she would notice that and it wouldn't really be a surprise. The only thing we have a difference on is tires. I want Duratracs, she want's Bridgestone's

So, then, what's the point of the thread? If she knows, and has approved spending? Ok, I admit it, I'm lost...

so I need good excuses to steal it from her for a day while everything gets installed. Suggestions? :behindsofa:

He's looking for creative ideas to get the 4runner from her without her knowing what he's doing so she will be surprised when she see's it all lifted. why he named the thread "Am I a bad husband" I don't know lol

Agreed, the title was confusing or at least for my old self. :) Anyway give her a day out then, my wife loves that!

Jeez, this is kind of relationships 101. I must have hit the jackpot with my wife. Whenever I want anything I tell her about it and we have a conversation about it and decide if I really want it and when we're going to buy it. Same goes for any of her big purchases too. All this sneaking around can't be good for your relationship.

Very true.

If I want something than I will buy it regardless of my wife saying no. Yeah my wife complained about me dropping $2k on my ICON lift and spending 3 half Saturday's in a row installing it myself. But she knows that this is my hobby and stopping me from enjoying the things I like will not be a good thing for the relationship. So she lets it be. Also we both work and make a decent amount so I let her be whenever she wants to buy something.

Forgiveness vs. Permission

Sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness, than permission...:bump2:

J/K!!

I'm sure all couples have a "money limit" they feel obligated to discuss. So, you have to ask yourself two questions:

Are you over the limit
What would she say/think if she found out

If you can't answer both questions, or it's really bothering you, then I would have a conversation. Although gifts are really nice, and if she's all for it, then keep going. But only you can answer those questions.

Beyond that, are the lift and tires impacting your necessities (food, utilities, things for the family).

Either way, good luck! Post some pics of either the lift, or your big fat black eye!!:boxing:
