Am I in Danger?!

Hey guys been a while, but I've been noticing some squeaks while I'm driving the runner. They're not loud but I can hear it. I went out to look this afternoon and took a pic of my uppers. Not sure how they're supposed to look so I need some experienced ones out there if what I'm looking at here is a concern. I'm just a paranoid person after seeing all those pics of wheels separating from our rigs.

I've been lifted on Toytec Ultimate for about 3 and a half-4 years now and only drive on the street. No off road shenanigans or reckless driving at all.

Lift the truck off the ground in the front. Try to move the upper ball joint back and forth and if there is any play I would replace it. Play will show it has a chance to fail. The truck wont align correctly. It look like they are blown out and lost grease so they will eventually fail quicker because of that.

Issue with stock UCA is the angle. When lifted 3" up front causes the major angle and blows the boots. I have new OEM UBJ's I installed not to long ago and both are already spitting grease. Best bet to stop them from doing this is after market UCA's.

But if they feel solid i would leave them be and just check them every oil change.

holy shit, idk if its recommended or not, but your ultimate coilovers are cranked wayy to high IMO..
how much lift are you getting from that? gotta be over 4-5"s...
Granted yours is 2wd and you said youve been running them like that for 3-4 years.

Maybe on a 2wd you can get away with it but your ride must have been like on bricks.

Ive got the same coilovers with an aftermarket bumper up front and have it showing thread on the top part while still getting a 3" lift.

I dont think your in trouble, ive had my other 4runner leak UBJs for a while before i changed them out. If your only leaking now, just keep it in the back of your head that sooner or later you will need to change them.

Haven't changed it at all since it's been installed but that's some good info I'll def. keep in mind.

Thats weird, only 3.5"s of lift cracked all the way? I feel like i still can get 1-2s" more on top of my current setup.

Either way, dont worry about it falling off, you still got some time before anything bad can happen. Some grease coming out isnt too much of a big deal..

When you change them you wont have to change the UCA just the UBJ.
Its a pain to take them apart from each other but new UCAs arent cheap.
Unless you want to take this situation a way to force you to get some UCA so with your coils up so high you can net back some alignment capabilities and extend the life of your tires..

Im sure with your setup your front tires have a lot of positive camber and with some UCAs you should be able to get closer to stock alignment.
But like i said, UCAs aint cheap.

IMO I would crank it down and add body lift. Your ride will be a lot smoother.
