Quality for Price??

These lights on Amazon are great prices, are they too good to be true, considering other light bars can be priced at $1000. Whats the major difference i will be missing out on with purchasing from Amazon??

Research and development, marketing, and cost/quality of components. As the other user said, you get what you pay for. If you don't intend to use it much and don't intend to rely on that light, then it shouldn't much matter.
 
For a little more in depth answer. Cheaper lights are cheaper because they use light knowledge that has been around forever. So they create a basic light that has a bulb and a reflector housing. The result is a lot of light just thrown out there. Which is why you rarely see a true spot light that is cheap. They are either flood or flood combo because they can't truly control where the light goes with a cheaper setup. If all you need is a flood light then the cheaper ones work. But if you need to see further down the road then you will have to go with a more expensive light that projects the light further out. There is infinite more reasons but that is the biggest one people seem to care about.

Any brand/style in particular that specifically has a focused beam that extends out rather than simply being bright and scattering light everywhere?

If you want the absolute best deal on a solid front light get these. They are brighter than the two pair of led pods I had. They have 6 led on the front and 3 on the side. They have a solid cutoff for a "spot" type light pattern but because of the cheaper reflector housing light is lost around them and to the side. But this actually is really nice because it gives you a really good field of view from out to the side to up close to further out. My favorite light for sure without going to Rigid or BajaDesigns.

Would you have any good output pics? I bought a 40" Westin bar recently from the warehouse and it was "spot" but it does not travel far at all. It has a lot of light, but that is about it. I really want something that travels far and it seems like I will really need to go to 7" rounds or something.

Depends on what you mean by far. When I run those pods ad night i have them on and my high beams on. They throw a decent way out but I still need light further out for faster trails or others like that. May have to pay more to get something to throw further out. I've heard great things about ExtremeLED. They seem to cater to that middle ground. But I have no personal experience with them so I wouldn't know their light throw. And sorry no output pics at the moment.
