First part again is still speculation until we get more information on both cases. Justifiable or not it is truly sad. In regards to the snipers in Dallas, that was pre-meditated and the expected outcome and shows how confused our society is.Between the 2 black people killed by cops this week and the police officers killed in Dallas by Snipers in retaliation/protest, this has been one shitty week for our country.
The only answer is to not let hate into our hearts.
Americas racial problems will not be going away anytime soon.
This week in particular has been extremely divisive. This blaming police nationally for what a single cop does on the other side of the country is beyond stupid. The Dallas PD was a reform model police department and had nothing to do with Minnesota.
America will soldier on, race relations will recover. This is a dark moment but we have endured far worse.
Protesting, counter-protesting ... none of this is helping in any way.
it is the completely incorrect way to handle a situation.
Police officers assassinated and it is "completely incorrect"? This is your conclusion?
Wow, easy now, that's pretty harsh condemnation.
Your original post clearly shows that that you, the democratic Minnesota governor and Obama have judged the officers involved in the shootings this past week as racist before the shootings are investigated.
All I said is that it's been a shitty week for America.
I didn't say the cops were racist in the shootings. I don't think it'd be a shocker if they were; but I didn't make any conclusions in my OG post.
You can't take a scientific test for racism, we'll never know.
The circumstances were unnecessary regardless of race.
Scenario 1) 2 cops holding a man down, knees on chest, arms and legs being restrained. Why shoot him?
Scenario 2) A man TELLS YOU HE HAS A LICENSED CARRY. Doesn't seem like that would be a threat. A real threat wouldn't inform you of the item he wants to threaten you with in 99.999999% of all normal human communication. You ask him to get your wallet but shoot because you are fearing his gun he told you about? At least that's the story, As usual with this crap we'll likely never get the facts.
The problem, as I see it, is that we are not Americans first. We are not united as a country. We define ourselves as Democrat, Republican, Independent, Black, White, Hispanic, Rich, Poor, etc... Everything is "Us vs. Them" with little to no respect given to anyone not on "our" team. Dissenting opinions are shouted down with childish insults at worst or flippant disregard at best. It is almost treasonous to actually stop and think about the opposing view and where that sentiment comes from, to give "the enemy" any consideration or empathy.
This is fueled by our so-called leaders, our media, and various organizations/groups that profit from chaos. It permeates our entire society, and is encouraged by those who hold the highest offices in the land all the way down to the single person passing such ideals to his/her children.
"United we Stand, Divided we Fall" is not just a catchy patriotic slogan, it is a dire warning that we best heed, and soon, lest we join the history books as another great nation that crumbled from within and fell out of existence.
I think are a result of mind set and their training models, I get they want to go home at the end of their shifts but maybe the training model needs some tweaking when it comes to escalation.
Training may need some tweaking when it comes to escalation? Last time I checked when shots starting ringing out in Dallas, LEO's in this highly escalated situation ran towards the gunfire or tried protecting innocent bystanders? What else do you recommend them doing in this case.

So you didn't answer the question about your critique to training for LEOs?What do you think may have lead up to this?
Maybe you need to read this post and really open your mind:
Glad to see you edited your original post to include more justification of your comment which is exactly what was quoted by my post. Training and escalation of confrontation can always be tweaked. As for tangent, your is always posts by a closed mind. Happy Friday to you. BTW, Your quote of my post was selective, another example of a closed mind. :high5:So you didn't answer the question about your critique to training for LEOs?
And if you would have noticed before quoting I did read that and I even liked that post as well? :suspicious:
So on that tangent, happy Friday eh?
