Amount of Rear Diff Oil, before/After?

I changed the rear differential oil this morning and filled it for approximately 2.8 L. I kept waiting for it to drip from filler plug but it doesn't. I did not continue as I might over fill it. I should also mention that the truck is park on flat surface, I used level.

The amount of oil that came out was approximately 2.2 L - 2.3 L (see picture).

Should I continue until oil comes out of the filler plug or I'm OK?

Keep filling it. The capacity is listed as 2.9 quarts in the owners manual.

Just noticed I told you quarts and not liters. You would have to do the conversion but I would fill it to within 1/8 inch of the fill plug regardless.

Yes, keep filling. You should be getting close though.

Fill it until it drips out the fill hole, can't get any simpler than that. Pretty hard to overfill as long as you are on a level surface and let it drip before putting the plug back in.
