Are you using the stock HU or aftermarket?

Yes it is after market and it has sub rcs outputs front speaker rca ouputs rear speaker rca outputs and a bus out rca. Idk what the bus out is for

Are you using the factory wiring to the door speakers? Like a wiring adapter that plugs into the factory harness to the doors? And are they the stock speakers?

IMO i wouldnt amp the stock speakers, you will blow them before you know it, for like 55$ on ebay you can get some brand new kicker speakers, lowest model one but they are way better than the stock and they sound pretty sweet

did you test the impedence of the factory speakers?

they might be only 6 ohm; normal after market decks and speakers run 4 ohm, this makes a big difference.

on my truck I replaced all factory door speaker wiring with 14g. it was pretty simple.

If u amp ur factory speakers they will blow as soon as u turn the gain up on amp their not made to be camped u need after market speakers they are made for it and also u need to run speaker wire from the speaker to the amp the factory stuff just disconect it cause u cant use it and its not good wire normally u have.to rewire the car its very time consuming I did it on mine it also helps that I do it for a living

on NOT using the stock speakers. They will blow, and they sound cruddy anyway. Do yourself a favour and get some decent components for the front and some decent 4" jobs for the rears at least.

Use the RCA outs on the head unit to feed the RCA ins on the amp and then wire the speakers with decent wire to the speaker outs on the amp.

x a million. Wait until you can afford to replace the stockers with any name brand speaker, then do the speakers and amp at the same time with independent wiring.

its only a little 150 watt amp and i figure that id rather use it then have it collecting dust in my garage

My opinion, I'd let the amp sit in the garage before amping the stock speakers.

Here, you can get a MUCH better pair of speakers for about $30.

UNDERPOWERED SPEAKERS ARE WHAT YOU SHOULD WORRY ABOUT BLOWING. no matter if they are aftermarket or not.

think about the magnet. and the power. and their purpose.

if you want to put your amp in do it. its one less thing you will have to do when you put the speakers in. which will make for a less frustrating install
for you. just my opinion.

Who cares if they blow (which they may, they don't take that much), but they will sounds like crap even if they don't blow.
