Amp under front seat?

Has anyone mounted their amp under the front seat. I am a little worried about the heater vents overheating the amp in the winter.... Anyone had this problem? Thanks.

Yes, I have. You can see a picture about half way down on page 3 of this thread.

It sits directly over the vent and I haven't had any problems yet though I also haven't run the heater yet. If it becomes a problem, I will remove or otherwise disable that vent.

Thanks. Any idea how to go about removing it? I might just do it while I'm there so I don't have to go back and do it later.....

Once you lift up the carpet in that area, you can just pull it out.

Anyone know if a JL 300/4 will fit? Anyone have dimensions of what they installed?
