Amsoil airfilter fit

I just got the TS162 air filter for my 4th gen from amsoil. When I put it in with the foam side down there is a blue rubber strip that goes around the top half of the flat filter. It doesn't seem to fit perfect, does anyone have any pic's of the fit of their amsoil filter? I'll get pic's of what I'm talking about soon but I wanted to hear others opinions of the Amsoil air filter fit.

When i first got mine a while ago I noticed the same thing, it just didnt seem like it was the right size. I called amsoil and they said that was normal and the first time you have to basically jam it in there, then over time it form fits. They make it a little bigger to guarantee a solid seal. I do not have any pictures of it, so just basically push it in there tight. It will go in and everything will be fine.

Thanks for the reply. When I put it in I let the foam side go in until the blue taped part hit the ledge then covered over the blue tape part with the box cover. Does that sound right or was I supposed to shove the blue taped part all the way down too.

Yeah that seems fine...i just pushed it in as much as i could so i could get the lid back on, over time you will see it will fit better, hope my info helped

Yeah, it was a pain the first time I put mine in also.
