Next thing... a beautiful new Pro sitting by the front door!
I asked what "IBEX" was & it's some kind of paint protector. I don't know what Lojack runs, but I'm thinking that it's not $12K and this sticker is really the "bend over and take it because we have a white Pro on the lot" price!
$22K more than I paid for my 2018 TRDORP. No thank you! But nice tires...

IBEX is a paint/interior protection package that, after some Googling, lots of West coast dealers are applying, however, it isn't applied until after the vehicle is purchased (thus can be removed from the purchase price), some Googling shows that this should run $300-900
Lojack's MSRP is $695
The vehicle comes with a security system, but SoCal dealers apparently love installing an additional alarm system, even on the high end of dealer installed alarms it shouldn't be over $750-1000...
Not sure where the other $10k is coming from... but that's a lot of labor

Immediately knew it was CA with that price. Don't understand people. LA tried to get me to pay 55 for mine. NAH.

Love the nitrogen filled tires! Go to any Costco and use their air pump, free nitrogen!
Brought my Cement TRD pro for 10000 mile. They didn’t even rotate my tires!
Thank god I got my for MSRP out of state. Hate San Diego dealers!
Also had a $5000 dealer markup on TRDOR and TRDORP..yikes

Dry nitrogen will contract and expand less under temperature change. Normal air (~78% nitrogen, ~21% oxygen, ~1% other) with humidity in it will change tire PSI by about 4-6PSI between a cold tire and a tire at operating temp. A dry nitrogen filled tire will only increase pressures by 1-2PSI. As the seasons change an air filled tire will drop about 1PSI per 10 degrees (F). Dry nitrogen is less ( I don't remember how much less). Dry nitrogen is also slower to seep out of the tire.
It has to be DRY nitrogen. Any small quantity of water vapor in the nitrogen almost completely negates the benefit.
Nitrogen filing makes sense if you are auto racing and 1-2PSI makes a difference.
Me... I use air. Good old fashioned air! Filling your tires with nitrogen is pure MARKETING WANK! There are legit benefits but they are minuscule, i.e. ~0.5% fuel economy improvement... but only during the period before your tires warm up. Also, vehicle manufactures designate tire pressures knowing they will warm up and pressures will go up, so if you fill your tires with nitrogen to the manufacturers specification, you will be driving on perpetually under-inflated tires...

62k plus tax and license and all that other crap, eat rocks. That 20+ grand (over on off-road) buys you nearly every high end aftermarket component including armor and bumpers, front and rear. You can fully build for that mark-up. What a bunch of f’n jokers. Sad state of affairs there are people so hard up for something with a “pro” badge on it to pay that kind of price for a ten year old platform.

The sad thing is that some fools are no doubt paying the $12-15K markup. When I bought my 2018 TRDORP last summer, one dealer (Mossy) wanted a $7K markup for the privilege of buying. I told them to never mention that stupidity again or I would just walk out the door. To their credit, they didn’t. But they also couldn’t come up with the vehicle that I wanted, and probably wouldn’t have matched the price that I paid in Phoenix. I didn’t want to buy in Phoenix, but no one in SoCal could get the exact vehicle I wanted. Turns out that Phoenix could... and at a price that SoCal probably wouldn’t have touched.
But $12-15K for the privilege of buying??? Some people have more money than sense. And odds are really, really high that anyone paying that price will never leave the pavement!

EXACTLY!!! Even without the privilege-of-buying markup, you can turn a TRDORP into a Pro for less than the MSRP difference. If I had an extra $22K to spend on my TRDORP, I could make a way, way better vehicle than that!!
$70K for a pickup truck is complete lunacy

The Toyota dealer near me has two TRD Pro Tacoma listed like $1000 below MSRP sitting on their lot... Which imo is still too much for a vehicle that doesn't have adjustable seat height. Funny how being on a different coast can have that big of a swing in list pricing.
