The current administration refuses to call this an act of terror. Instead they are calling this a work place incident. If they had called this an act of terror and prosecuted him as an enemy combatant they could have stopped his pay.
Not only that but some of the people who were victims have had their benefits canceled.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly a big fan of Obama or anything... but the way I read it, the fact that he was active duty and has not yet been tried is the reason he's still getting a paycheck. Terrorist or not, it sounds like he gets paid because of an unfortunate loophole in how the military justice system works.

Why the blame?
Obviously the current administration did not create those rules!
I don't like democrats blaming everything on Bush and also dislike republicans who refuse to work with the current administration.
We all love this country, no one has a monopoly of that.

As a guy that was Military this is pretty crazy to me. I know that when some of my guys got thrown in the Brig there pay stopped before the Non Judicial Punishment was even conducted. I'm guessing it is commanders discretion.
I'll be honest I was a little taken by it also. I know he was a field grade office and they do pretty well for them self but shit. Thank God someone was carrying around there..

Innocent until proven guilty. Like it or not, it's everyone's right. Do we really want the courts/president/government to be able to simply change the definition of a given act from "crime" (with due process rights) to "act of terror" (without) at will, just because the act in question happened to hit home more than another? Think about it.
And before we get too "outraged," it's not like the guy is free to spend any of that money.
Moreover, once he's tried and convicted (as he likely will be), he'll end up paying restitution to the victim's families. That's where the money will be going.
This is about as much Obama's fault as 9/11 was Bush's fault (because it happened on his watch). By that logic, we should blame FDR for Pearl Harbor.

This is the truth. I'll admit I'm in the minority on this board for my liberal beliefs, but blaming this on the current administration just reinforces what is wrong with this country.
It is not about your or I, my party or yours. It is about America. Stop pointing the finger across the table just because thats all you know how to do.
edit: reading some of the comments on that article make me remember why I stopped watching Fox, cue the "outrage" my comments will cause around here.

Sometimes a little finger-pointing is necessary... I just choose to reserve that for when it's actually well-deserved. This didn't seem like the case.
And since this will inevitably spiral into a political fuss, I will add that our judicial system has gotten soft in favor of liberalism and second chances. Maybe if enforcement of our laws were not so forgiving, there would be less people willing to push their luck.

how many threads you going to post this on? I don't like Fox but you need to hear both sides of the spectrum and come to your own conclusion.
The reason I hate fox is because I have numerous friends who openly base their entire political knowledge on that station - it is people like that who we need to be afraid of. Same can be said for those who do the same with msnbc.
Take everything you read, hear, and watch with a grain of salt because deep down, there is always some bias involved.

No one likes that guy. Another looser brainwashed and turned violent. It is sad that the Army couldn't pick up on this guy years ago.
BTW, I'm pretty sure when he is convicted (and he will be) his pay will be backdated to the date of which he was formally charged. The article doesn't say he has been receiving the money in his checking account or anything like that.

Yes it is perplexing that this is not considered an act of terror but the FBI considers Animal Cruelty protests to be an act of terror.
This clearly was an act of terror because he was politically & religiously motivated and he was partially guided by a foreign agent.
