Hello All. I am looking for a 1996 or newer 4runner 4x4. My budget is $2200, but I am not picky and I am open to ANY mileage.

My only necessities are 4 wheel drive, 3.4, and a solid engine and trans. I don't care about cosmetics, brakes, tires, etc. I know this is a tough budget to obtain. Please PM me if you have a 4runner you want to unload or know someone who would rather their old sled find a a good home than trade in to their local dealer. I will travel to you where ever you are in the continental USA to pick up and of course I will pay cash.

Man sorry to break it down to you but, a running condition 3rd Gen. 4Runner's re-sale value don't go that low, not even a 2WD version I don't think.

You might have to wait a few more years with that offer. Save up and you'll surely find your find.:cheers:

This is the end:roadkill: wrecker came and took the 99 away this week. I got all my suspension off with the exception of my diff drop (bonehead spaced it). The insurance did an interesting thing in determining what they would pay. they found 2 99's for sale locally one 5speed listed at $9800 and one Auto listed at 4000. I asked why they didn't find 2 5speeds and they said that they didn't have to that the trans didn't matter. I decided that it wasn't worth fighting with them but they payed out 5700 after my 500 deductible. As much as I would love to dump all of that into the new runner my wife and I have decided that she needs to join the 4runner world. We have put her 2009 Corolla S up for sale and are going to get her a 4th Gen V8. We will be adding some money to the settlement of course. Thanks for all the great comments on the 99 and no worries the 98 will still be built as time goes on.

These sliders are beef. the welds are super good and they weigh about 42 pounds each. I think I will need to plate the Frame and do some gussets to make sure the frame stays intact. LOL. I have Thursday off and by the end of the day they should be on and good to go. Let the drool begin:thumb3:

Curious what sliders these are? I like this hybrid style, would enjoy a set down the road if commercially available?
