Got my shocks and panhard bar installed today.

there is a reason that the LC shocks have a small bit of Armor on the front side.

you can see the dent on the old shock

She sits and rides great now. Reattached the front and rear swaybar's

Still have the diff drop to put in before I can wheel it. But it is getting really close. I've gotta get this done so that I can get it out and flex it up.

Well last night at the end of a long day but great night of a date with my wife I decided to install my diff drop. Went in super easy. Interestingly I found that at full droop the sidebiters on my tires rub my upper control arm. So shaving the upper control arms as been added to my list of mods not hurting anything right now but need to be addressed. Anyway once I was done I went for a little drive and there is a wash very close to my house. I was not doing anything even close to hard but came to a small lip and when I went to climb it sunk deep. I tried to back out and simply buried the runner to the axles:ybrick: Got out to find that i had somehow driven into some really wet almost quicksand. Weird in the desert but it does happen since we have been getting some rain. Called a buddy (wife was asleep and wanted to avoid the shame till morning. lol) and had him go get my 84 to come and pull me out which took almost 2 minutes:nerd: No pics because i still haven't replaced my camera and it was to dark for my phone. Gotta get my FJ axle installed and that Elocker going but mostly I have to remember I'm not running on 39 rockers with spools front and rear. On a really positive note it flexes great and I will get out soon in daylight to get some pictures.

Sliders shipped from Addicted Off-Road and should be here on Monday. There is something strangely addictive (pun intended) to watching the tracking of something sweet move across the country toward your front door. Thanks Scott I cant wait to have them welded on. Pic will ensue :hungry:

Strong work! What wheels did you get (backspacing or wheel spacers?) and how much clearancing did you have to do to get the 35's to fit? I'm about to sell or trade my 255/85's for some 35's to get some more ground clearance and widen the track a little bit.
Also, on the rear bumper, while I really dig Scott's bumper it's really nice to have a place to sit under cover/shade with the rear hatch open. So I had my fab guy bring out the rear about six inches and it also gives some good protection to the hatch.

The wheels are MB Razor's 17x9 with 3.5 backspacing. Ive had them for a while they started on a 1st gen then moved to our 92 2nd Gen and now on our first 3rd Gen. No spacers, I have a set of 1.5' spacers that i put on while I was clearancing the fenderwell, but they pushed the ark so far out that i would have had to tub instead of just BFH'ing stuff. I didn't have to pound much just about an inch of the finderwell. Basically I drove the lower fenderwell back to the body mount and haven't had any rubbing except on the frame at full lock. The other thing that I think saved me is the tires are technically only 34.4inches tall. I love your bumper as well and I find myself going back and forth since I am 6'2" i sit up in the back of the runner anyway. The sliders are here in town and at the FedEx facility or maybe on a truck. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeah thats what I thought... I knew I recognized that home depot in your pic! I'm in Oro Valley at Oracle and 1st area... Thanks for the offer though I'm currently in the process of building it. It's stock right now but I'm piecing the suspension together at the moment. It will be ready to hit some trails in 2 months or so after I spend a couple paychecks on it. No pic's up because I don't have a camera! hah! When I start working on it I'll borrow a friends so I can post some pic's for ya. I used to have a 2000 highlander edition on 33's but I sadly had to sell it for personal reasons, but I recently aquired a white 96 SR5 4wd which will soon be on 35's! Can't wait!

These sliders are beef. the welds are super good and they weigh about 42 pounds each. I think I will need to plate the Frame and do some gussets to make sure the frame stays intact. LOL. I have Thursday off and by the end of the day they should be on and good to go. Let the drool begin:thumb3:

Thanks I am loving it. Just the suspension lift:surfer: hammered the finderwells a little and I was good to go.

hmmm thats making me think... i want 35s and have been thinking bout getting a BL but wasnt too sure. Only thing i noticed is that u cut out alot of the front bumper and i dont think i can do that much bc of my sport/limited fender flare.

That would be hard with the flares. But borrow a 35 and take your front coilover out and then cycle the suspension to see where your are going to have the most trouble. My 35's are really 34.4's

I haven't got the sliders installed yet because it's been over 100 every day this week and so just a little hot to weld outside right now. I did however take the rear bumper off and did a little light wheeling on Sat. The runner did great and I loved wheeling with the A/C on. It flexes up great and I even got the front end off the ground once and the Kings just soaked everything up. There doesn't seem to be any rubbing, except when flexed hard the rear drive-shaft just barely clips the gas tank skid. Now I want to take it out and really see what it will do. I'm afraid the madness really has begun to take hold already. LOL anyway here are a couple of pics. Mostly poser but it was a poser run

Just take the piece on the front bumper off, your going to have to when you get a new front bumper anyway! Get some 35's so I can have your 33's
