I do not want to add to the complaint about the entertainment unit being subpar. I feel the same headaches. Last time I looked the onlt solution to this was replacing the entire unit but perhaps there is something now.

I am just looking to get Android Auto in my entertainment unit. Mainly because the GPS NAV really bites BIG TIME. It has a terrible interface and I have yet to figure it out (seriously). I also hate that you cannot use it until the car in in park. So many times a passenger wants to put in a destination while I am driving but I always have to pull over and park. I really like using Android Auto/Google Maps for directions. Thanks.

Hey.I have a 2017 TRD Off Road. I replaced my head unit with a Dasaita unit same overall size/vents/etc - wider easier to read screen. However, after 2-21/2 years it started glitching - would not connect (Carplay). I updated software, etc. Ended up replacing it with the "Premium" unit from Hamilton Motors (Google it). Much larger screen - looks like the same unit that is in the 2025's. Will do Android Auto or Carplay - wireless.... Good customer support.

shop around for the 20/21 plus OEM headunits and retrofit it. Deals can be found on the headunit and install is pretty simple. Keep OEM look and functions great. I have had one in for the past 2-3 years and enjoy it. It works without issues

the oem 2021 units have sim option like the android units/?...i doubt .
the sim option is why i prefer the android units to oem

what do you plan on doing with the sim option? Another data line to stream videos while driving or make calls?

Yeah to stream audio, youtube, tunein etc..also serves as a not obvious tracker for the vehicle, through google find hub
