Andy Mod 2.0 light questions?

I posted this over on Yotatech but the thread is pretty out of date so i figured id post it on t4r.org as well. I did the Andy mod (Andy mod 2.0 light) yesterday because I hate not being able to rip it up in only 2 wheel drive. I still have some concerns. I used a 3 prong switch that has - power, load, and ground connector pins on the back. I connected the wires to the power and ground (is this correct ) Anyways everything works but my concern is whether this will be okay and I won't fry my computer or cause any major damage. And if it matters what switch you use. I used a 2 way (on, off)
I was very hesitant to cut any wires down there at first but after testing this out its definitely worth it. Especially since it took me all of ten minutes.

I've had mine for 4 years. No issues. The switch is there just to bridge the connection for VSC. Flip it and it cuts that connection.

Your 3-prong switch will probably work ok, but only hook the wires to the power and load connectors. All the mod does is break the circuit. You really just need a 2-prong on-off switch. Your 3-prong switch has a light in it (thus the ground) that turns on when power goes to the load terminal. However, the voltage on the wires is probably not enough to run the light, even if you got it the right direction (hot wire to the power terminal), and the light would be ON when the mod was turned off (VSC/TRAC working normally). Having the ground wire connected to ground might cause problems for the computer, but I doubt it. Best leave it off, or better, get a 2-prong switch.

I wouldn't worry about a lighted switch. There are 2 bright lights on the instrument panel that tell you when VCS/TRAC is off, and I would have to bend my head down to see the light in the switch anyway.
