So. This is something I rolled out a few days ago, and it seems to be picking up some speed.
This is a step-by-step tutorial on how to complete the Angel Eye Mod.
Materials:
2x Standard 9006 Headlight Bulbs
2x Side Marker LED's
Drill
5/32" Bit
Dremel with either a sanding attachment or metal cutter attachment
Hot Glue Gun

Let's begin!
First, take out the bulb you wish to modify.

(I had a few Sylvania's laying around)

Next, we are going to use to needle nose pliers to break the small spot welds holding the bulb to the housing. Be gentle, these will break off easily.

It should look like this when finished. You can twist the light bulb in between your fingers to pull the leads out of the housing.

Next, carefully extract the retainer from the housing. I say carefully because the metal can be sharp and any jerking motion could slice your fingers up.

Next, we need to Dremel out the plastic retainers for the metal ring in order to make room for the cylindrical LED housing.

You can use a barrel sanding attachment, but I had a metal saw wheel for plexi-glass cutting laying around that I used with success.

Note the two holes inside from the old leads- we will be drilling through these shortly.

I used a 5/32" bit to drill this out. It's a good size, because you can get the hot glue inside of the housing around the wires that exit the rear.

Next, grab your LED side marker. I ordered a bag of them from Amazon for cheap since I am replacing my Raptor Light mod lights.

Remove the 3/4" grommet from the light.

Next, feed the wires from your LED light through the previously drilled holes in the back of the housing.

Next, we are going to push the LED into the 9006 housing. It can be considered an interference fit, and is a little tight. You shouldn't have to force the light. If you are having the force the light into the housing, dremel out a little more.

Next, we need to seal up the housing so we don't get moisture in our headlight housing. I use hot glue, but I'm sure you manly men can use JB Weld if you wanna.

And voilla! You have completed your mod. You can either wire them into your turn signals or running lights. Mine are wired into my raptor lights.
