Angled End Hatch Strut Work on 2010's?

I purchased some 6156 Struts from Lift Supports Depot and forgot to ask for convert to straight ends in the notes section. Will this be a problem on the top side connection? I don't know if they will accept a return that's been opened/used or I would try.

Had to leave a VM but they called back in an hour or so. They recommended swapping the rod ends so that the angled part is on the bottom. I have not read that on here before but they said if they don't work I can still return them after a test install.
