Annoying unlock beeps

Anyone have any ideas on how to disable or change the annoying unlocking double beeps? Or worth the quadruple beeps when pressing unlock twice

Iirc you can do it in TechStream so you can DIY or get it done by the dealer. Carista may also work.

Not what you want to hear , yank the piezzo out ! It'll be in front driver's side engine bay closest to firewall & inside the wheel well ! Gone FOREVER

Turning off the annoying beep is a great idea. Most car models tell you how to set the beep on or off in the owner's manual.

How do we access TechStream? And what is Carista? Pardon my ignorance, but I've never had the need to access any settings before.
 
I used Carista to turn it down to level 1, I think there was 6 levels on it. It's good to have some audible in the event another door is not fully closed when you lock the truck and it emits a long warning tone. My 2 cents ...
 
I'm looking at carista and it looks like it's a paid subscription app??? I think outside gadgets like those void warrenties.....theirs gotta be a different easier way to change beeps

I see reading is not your strong suit. Includes a 1-month free trial. Not sure why you need more than 10 minutes to make the changes you want.
 
I read it very clearly. . But I know that any outside modifications like installing a chip may void factory warrenties, or disabling seat belt sounds u may not be able to pass inspections... I know cause it's happened to ppl I know. ...
 
with Carista, you can create a backup of the current settings and use that to restore if you are concerned about not passing anything.

you are installing an odb2 reader, just like they would if you went to an auto part store. its temporary and you are not going to install anything permanently or void anything. just create the restore file and you can use that if there are any issues.

yes its a subscription, but you also get a free month and can also get it for a monthly fee if you ever want to change it back.

trust me you are fine, you will pass everything and if you don't want to chance it you can always change it back

You have got to be kidding, right? Just take it to the dealer you snowflake.
 
You just might want those annoying beeps when your door lock actuators start failing and you need to troubleshoot. I guess you could reprogram them though.
