Annoying unlock beeps

Techstream

Sorry Dave, but you're both blaming us for how Toyota build the vehicle and I think that's kinda rude myself. Toyota did not set it up so you can program these things from the dash or the key or whatever. They set it up for the dealer to do it via the OBDII port using their software called Techstream. We've explained this and also pointed to an app called Carista. Neither of you guys like this explanation so neither of you will even google those terms to get more info. That's not our fault though, that's between you and Toyota.

How the heck did you get to 1250 posts on here without ever seeing the word "Techstream"??

Hey Moss,

I didn't blame you or anyone. I read the answers and may try one of them.

I'm not going back to the dealer if I can help it. Sometimes you have to for diagnosis, but to change something as easy as turning off the lock beep it should be owner controllable.

I already answered your last question in my first post. I've seen the term before. I've never tried to access Techstream. I keep reading about people using it, as if they own the system controller.

Newbies to the forum don't need the abuse. It drives new members away. If people don't like the post, the question or their replies, and have nothing to offer, just don't reply. When they don't get answers to posts, they start to get the message anyway.

I fully realize this is just kicking a dead horse at this point but this genius, the OP, just responded to a post on the other site: "what's a group buy?"

I rest my case.
