Another 3rd Gen Lift/Suspension Question

I know there are a million threads. I have spent days looking. I have a headache and some specific questions.

I have a 2002 Sport. The suspension is creaking. Alot. So I want to replace the springs. I just replaced the shocks about a year ago but used KYB air adjust at the time. I am still very price sensitive (i.e. Broke. Especially after christmas) but I need to do something before everything is shot.

So... I am looking at replacing shocks and springs all around I guess. I can't swing the sonoran steel kit at the moment. I think that the best compromise is going to be OME 881/890 and Bilstein 5100s.

My question is that Sonoran steel has you using 24-261425 (F) and 33-187174 (R). Is that only because they are using TRD and LC coils? Should I still use those with the OME coils or should I go with the 24-248730 (F) and 24-249966 (R) that are labeled for the 4Runner?

Those are different 5100 shock model numbers because the shock mounts are different front and rear. Coils may also be side-specific to account for driver-side lean/weight distribution. The battery, gas tank and driver are all on the same side of the vehicle.

Which model shock and spring you decide on should consider what kind of driving you will do and how much weight you will carry. Like 890 vs 891; both are 3" lift springs but the 891s are for having more rear weight, like an aftermarket bumper.

As far as creaking, check your bushings. Have someone jostle (left right/up down) the car with you under it and listen to each corner (wheel) until you find the offending noise. If the noise only happens when driving, it may not be suspension-related
