Another 5100 question *audience groans*

Hi folks,

I searched the boards before posting this but I'm having trouble finding data for my specific configuration. If I have missed the answer please point me in the right direction.

2006 SE. V6. 4x4. Stock springs. XREAS. 265/70 tires. SpiderTrax. Currently running front spacers but those are coming out.

I have four 5100's (adjustable fronts) sitting in a box and ready to go. Will a 1 inch spacer in the rear and the 1.75 setting up front result in a level or nearly level ride? (I'm ok with a slight forward rake) By level, I mean running boards that are parallel to the ground front to back. I do NOT mean the front and rear fenders measuring the same height from the ground.

I have some 1/4 inch top plate spacers from Wheeler's that I can add up front if the 1.75 is not quite enough on it's own.

You are correct, that should come out about level.

But, this depends on your current measurements of course.

I did something similar, but yes I did a spacer up front as well.

- 5100's at all four
- set to second-highest perch up front (is that 1.75"? don't recall rt now)
- 3/8" top spacer front
- 1" spacer rear

Came out very close to level which is what i wanted. Might have settled slightly now, giving back a tiny amount of rake (haven't measured). Could even be my imagination

Sounds like I might be able to go with or without a small spacer, based on your two experiences. Every vehicle is somewhat unique so hard to know for sure beforehand.

I do not want it to be "nose up" so maybe I will try no spacer first.

I also have a quick 5100 question: If my spacer in the rear is the Daystar 1.5" is that enough to need the extended travel shocks?

5100's are fine w/ 1.5" spacer

I will be doing 5100's at 1.75" front, 1.5" daystar in back w/ 5th gen springs. I expect a bit of rake, but know I won't be nose high (with gear/bike on back) without the spacer. Some people even experience a opposite rake w/ 1" spacer and 1.75 on billys up front

Go with the 1.5 inch spacer. then you can go with 1.75 or 2.5

'04 v6 SR5 here, and I added front and rear FJ springs and 5100's all around (.85" on the front) and no rear spacers. My running board area is level. With spacers and the front bumped up, I'd get the same level effect but would be taller

Overlanding style build here, not wanting to just raise it more than I will need. I hope this helps reinforce your decision. I am happy with it.
