Another auto to 5speed question

ok so I'm thinking on doing a 5 speed swap on my 95 3.0. since i got the runner my 88 5speed 3.0 pickup just sits and not being used. so iv read a lot of the threads on the swap and got a vary good idea on how to do it. my questions are do i really need the manual ecu and since the front shaft are longer can i use my 88s and for the rear since its shorter can i make a spacer to make up for length.

If you keep the automatic ECU you'll have to do a little wiring hackery to fool it into thinking you're in Park so you can start the truck. Get creative with it and that'd make a good interlock/theft prevention device. :thumbsup:

Driveshaft spacers aren't ideal, but do what you gotta do. What's the wheelbase on the pickup, why can't you use both driveshafts from the donor?
