CuzzinOlaf said:HOOTERS LOL.... They actually sponsored a Jeep meet for a bunch of us on jeepforum.com... I think involving food is a good idea.
Mark86 said:Food is definitely a good incentive for people to come. Would this meet take place in NY or NJ?
EdL04Sport said:Yeah...I'm still interested in getting together. Sorry Mark...work has been crazy! Like Mark, I should be good on most weekends in December and January. I was originally thinking that we should find either a park or a mall w/ a large parking lot. With the holidays coming up, a mall parking lot on a weekend might not be such a good idea. Any other suggestions?
Ed.
EdL04Sport said:Restaurant would be good...food always brings the crowds out! The other places I thought of with large parking lots were Rutgers Stadium in Piscataway or possibly Great Kills Recreational Area in Staten Island (maybe even the parking lots at either Midland Beach or South Beach in Staten Island). The only negative with Staten Island are that all those lots are on the water and it may get pretty chilly this time of year.

1st) it's centrally located at the Raritan Center (exit 10 of the NJTP, take 514 West, go about 1 mile and it's on your left)
+
2nd) they have gigantic food.sodas are no smaller than 32oz, 16oz roast beef sandwiches and a piece of cake weighs 4lbs… it's unreal. and yes, the food is super good. the Italian dishes are so-so, but the deli dishes are best!
+
3rd) they have a HUGE parking lot and we could keep the trucks off to the side and then chill there afterwards without being bothered.
just my 2¢…
