Aluminum rails & lots of screws
Some Assembly Required. It's a nice looking rack. Aluminum? I see you have some of the cross rails installed. Would like to see a top view showing the platform. I'd also like to see a closer shot of the front support. It looks like you took the rubber/plastic strip out to place the front support.
It has a lot of screws to install. The design could be very stout if the cross rails brace the side rails well. It could also rattle a lot if the screws start coming loose.
Nice looking truck BTW. Looks like you have tan seat covers. Is it a trail edition? Are there lots of TE available in SLO? I may come north to look for one. I have a good friend who lives in See Canyon.

Yes, there is assembly required, but it is very straightforward. With two people I'm sure you could have this done in a day. Power drill with a T30 bit makes it go a lot faster.
The rack is made up of steel, powder coated side rails and the cross bars are aluminum 80/20 (TSLOTS) extrusions. The cross bars are attached with two screws on each side. They have spring washers (and I'm using Loctite Threadlocker) so I have no worries that they will back out or make any noise. Great part about this rack, and the reason I went with it, is that the cross bars are very adjustable. You have a lot of options for adjustability left/right and front/back.
The rack is very sturdy when it is mounted in 6 places on the roof. You can move the whole truck with the rack and the rack stays put, no flex. Also a great feature, you can have as many or as few cross rails as you please.
As I get further along I'll post a few more pics of the weather stripping and top deck situation. Hang tight!

Wow. I dig this rack. Can you get a picture of your truck from further away to get an idea of how the whole thing looks with that rack? It doesn't look any more difficult to assemble than the frontrunner. Only real difference is side pieces and the t slot slats seem to have more mounting options. Looks like I probably could use some of my frontrunner accessories on there as well (which is important to me). I have the baja on my runner but the frontrunner on my 4runner. I love the ease and design of the t slot alum crossbars. Don't like that frontrunner doesn't make a full length for the 4runner. This could be an easy fix!

whats the plan for the mounting positions? thats not the finished product is it? I am diggin this so far..... so questions of the day will it work with a GOBI ladder and how much $$$$$$$????????

Nope, not the fished product yet. I'm working with Zach to help finalize this up for production. Price, not sure what he has settled on, you'll have to ask him.
Gobi ladder, don't see why not. You can move that last cross bar forward to one of three positions for clearance.

Looks like it has some height adjustability in the support brackets... would be nide to drop it a touch closer to the roof
Exactly what is being worked on. I believe Zach is working on reducing the overall rack height and improving the roof lines to match further.

Personally I think the rear angle changes to the red line or even straight up would look better and provide less issue for a ladder and the front could be shortened a touch to better follow the windhshield line

Agreed! - that, and the lower edge of the siderails more closely matching the roof line, and you've got a winner! (Top line of cross rails needs to be straight, side rails could curve to follow roof line)
Since it is not yet in final production, those simple changes should be possible, yes?
Not clear how the front supports sit or attach to the roof. I read "six attach points", but I would guess the front two just sit firmly in the rain channel, same as Gobi and Baja?

Kinda pisses me off that I paid this guy LAST JUNE for a full length rack for my 3rd Gen and never received a rack that would fit it. Just told him last Friday to give me my money back. Then he whips one out for a 5th Gen just like that. Looks like I spent sometime on the back burner.
