Another lower ball joint replacement question.

So I replaced my joints with dealership parts, and after driving it around It feels like when I turn the wheel I'm driving with a flat tire. What it does is when I turn the wheels don't follow through with the turn. If I don't turn the wheels straight then the truck will continue the turn. I also replaced the outter tie rod ends. Do I have to break in the joints?

NO it should instantly feel better. Are you sure you have your outer tie rods connected properly? It sounds like something is not connected right.

You should also make sure you have everything torqued properly.

I mean it's really smooth I'm not sure. I had a torque spec guide and I even used blue loctite on the 4 bolts on the LBJ. It just doesn't return like it used to.

OMG... great point! Kinda always assumed that's a given but then again....

I guarantee it's out of alignment. That's what mines felt like on the way to the shop.

That might be it. But I marked everything down and did measurements. It still drives straight, I'll just get it alighned this weekend when I do the valve cover gaskets.

It's the caster that that will allow the wheels to straighten themselves back up after a turn. If the caster is out a little, the truck can still drive straight as long as the toe is correct.

Quoted for truth. Sounds like your caster is 0 or negative.

Sunday is a go, I got the green light, as for the shop, I'm going to try to take it to them when I put the sliders on.
