Another re-gearing Qs for those with 35s

Ok so the 4runner needs to be re-geared soon so im trying to figure out the debate whether to go wit hthe 4.88s or 5.29s with my current setup. My 4runner is 2wd, auto, and is my DD so it will be driven 90% on the highway and in the city so those of u with 35s please lend me some input.

Yes u guys know i wouldnt ask unless i already researched this... gone through endless amounts of threads but the debate always seems to jump in and so im not sure which will probably be the best for my situation. Thnx guys

At least with v6/5-speed combo, it seems 4.88's would be closest to stock gearing with 315's.

gear wise maybe, but remember there is s lot more rolling resistance with the larger tires. also, the taller vehicle will have more wind resistance aswell.

4.88 for 35's seems undergeared to me. unless there are no hills, and you never plan to load it up, or tow with it, being a 2wd you might just get away with it.

From what I've read 4.88's would be best as a DD.

Ive been debating this for a long time. Im going to jump up to 35"s. That said I don't ever drive faster than 50 mph(small island) so I think im going 5.29.
