Another rear window problem

Hi, I did a search, but couldn't find an answer. My problem is that the window won't go up or down, but there is a loud thumping sound coming from the motor. I have the panel off, but I don't know what to do about it.

I doubt this is the problem but definitely worth a shot. Did you disconnect the battery recently? If so, you have to reinitialize the rear window following the instructions in the owners manual.

I can hear the motor running, but I have a thumping sound. I did realize one thing though, the window isn't all the way up, and my dash light indicating this isn't on. Could the problem be that it thinks it's at the top and that the gate is open???
