Another Tint Thread

OK, so are most folks just putting tint on top of their factory tint in the back?

I've been thinking of getting the back windows darker, but I know most places usually charge more money to take off the old tint before putting on the new stuff.

There is no old tint, its part of the glass.

It's in between 2 layers of glass if I'm not mistaken. So yeah I bet it would cost a lot for them to take apart your windows lol. (They can't take off the factory tint unless they replace them with new windows)

So, what is everyone paying for tint these days? Anyone in NorCal? I will probably get 20% on the already tinted rear, and 20% up front too.

BTW, I think the tint laws in CA are too strict. I have 20% all the way around on my RX-8, and have never been pulled over for it. Its been almost 2 yrs now.

I paid $289 for mine. That was for all 7 windows, any combination of tint I wanted. I put 20% over factory tint on the back windows, and 35% on the front. I'm going to go back soon and have them take off the 35% in the front and put 20% instead.

They also had another type of tint for $239, but I wanted the life time warranty and best material.
