Another TRD PRO Thread

chudiddy - a warn zeon platinum 10k-s just showed up at the door yesterday. Doing a hidden mount and factor 55 hardware. ...for now :)

probos - for sure. I'll wait until 2018, they definitely need to work the kinks out of that engine. Every major company has failed at the twin turbo v6. That coupled with a 10spd makes me really nervous.

That's definitely the prudent move. Beautiful truck though, I'd be afraid to test drive one for fear I'd want to trade my Pro of it. As much as I love my 4R I wish Toyota could have squeezed out a bit more power and pep out of 4.0L v6.

Looks good. Looks a little unbalanced with a full rear bumper but no front. Just my opinion.

Not sure I agree. For most people the added utility of the rear bumper outweighs (literally) what you'd get with just a hidden winch in the front. I know for me at least that was the case. That said I don't think the Expedition Overland setups look unbalanced, nor did I feel my setup prior to the front bumper, was unbalanced either.

The OP may just want to retain the looks of the front end, in which case all the more power to him. Very clearly my rig looks like an overland setup, whereas with the stock front end it'd be a little bit of a "made you look!" rig, where it looked semi-normal from the front, but when you get around the halfway mark to the rear bumper you're like, "WAAAAAAAH!?"

Nice rig

SoCalTRDPro That looks so nice with the fenders. What do you think about the RTT? Have you had a chance to use it much? I have not decided on my sleeping arrangements yet.

Totally get what you're saying. I'm gonna rolls with a hidden winch mount first and see how I like it. The only front bumper I really dig right now is the one that southern style is doing. I may eventually move that direction. For now, I'll keep it business up front, party in the rear.

Love the tent. First night was in 40mph winds on a ridge in big sur. Every ground tent was collapsed the next morning. I slept in that palace like the dead.

I love the idea of a RTT, but they pack up so slow and I'd rather have a ground tent when it comes to high winds, which we get out in Eastern Oregon, also the weight and change to the center of gravity....suuuuucks.

LawnDart -- this one isn't so bad. I thought the same thing originally.
The car is slightly more top heavy, but nothing crazy.

All that said, I still have a nemo for run n gun.

Honestly I can get my Nemo Galaxi 2P up and running in about the same time, and can pack it up faster than a RTT. Plus it's so small I always keep it in the truck.

Different strokes. I also physically can't get one on the vehicle and get in my garage.

LawnDart - yeah. I can't get into the wholefoods parking garage with this thing on. 1st world problems. Hahaha.

You get that back up camera extension from Kevin yet?

Nope. But I was told by Pelfrey that they offer one, so I'll get a bracket from them, and then likely buy another camera and rig it to the rear end.

Yeah, well this probably explains more succinctly why I'm not going with a RTT.

Just a quick update. Relocated my reverse camera finally. Not the easiest job, but it works!

Happy to answer any questions that you may have.
