Have looked all over the site and still unsure on what to do next... Hate to make this long but here is a run down of what has been going on and what has been done.
Symptom: steering wheel shake and vibration at highway speeds 60 mph+
Replaced: worn rack bushings and rotated tires
Next Symptom: Steering wheel shake and vibration at speeds 70 mph+ and steering wheel jerk when hitting bumbs (just a rough ride)
Replaced: worn out original struts, greased and checked driveline
Next symptom: steering wheel shake and vibration at speeds 70mph+ only while going around curves.
Replaced: both front cv axel's due to both inner boots tearing within a week of each other and changed both axel seals. Also rotated tires once more and checked out my front wheel bearings.
Next symptom: steering wheel shake and vibration at any speed above 60 mph again not matter what you do.
Replaced: lower ball joints, inner & outer tie rods, sway bar end links and bushings and installed a new rack guide.
All this has occured within a 2 month period and now the truck rides smooth no jerking of the steering wheel over bumbs or pot holes, almost no steering wheel shaking or vibration on the highway at any speed...... What is my problem now? When I exceed 70-75mph and let of the gas to slow down the steering wheel shakes and the truck vibrates like crazy until it reaches about 60-65mph. Now this is happeneg while reducing speed on its own without using the brake.
