any advice before I use touch-up paint

you are trying to touch up a dime size area with touch up paint? OMG it's will look like shit! touch up paint are only for little dot or two size chip and nick not for dime size spot!

DON'T BE IN A RUSH. You should keep on making sure that the area you are toching up is not raised. I also was told by somone that you should only go in one direction with the brush. Also, don't glob the paint on. Good luck.

You're between a rock and a hard place. If you don't touch it up, it looks bad. If you do touch it up, it'll look bad.
I'd recommend touching it up, so its harder for the paint around it to start chipping away. I'd also recommend you get a piece of metal, drop a dime on it, draw a circle around it, and practice.

Don't use touch up paint it will just make it look worse, it's the plastic bumper the paint will not chip more, what I would do is go back to the dealer find the guy they use to do touch ups and then approach him on the outside and ask him to fix it, if you go through the dealer they will charge you 200 bucks and the guy only makes like 30 but if you gave the guy 50 you avoid paying the dealer extra for nothin

Now if you wanna try it yourself, get a can of spray paint several auto zones/auto stores now sell the exact paint color/codes in spray paint form now, take a plastic cup and cut out a hole the size of a quarter or so, clean the area up on the truck and tape off the bumper so only the damaged area gets hit, then spray the bumper through the hole in the plastic cup, depending on how bad the scratch is you may want to use fine grit sandpaper and just smooth down the surface, practic on a peace of cardboard then hit the truck, might need a second coat and don't overspray, then let it sit overnight
