Just wondering if BajaRacks, gobi, or cbi will be having any group buys? I want to grab one of these bad was good racks.

Gobi wait time is so bad. I ordered one 3 months ago. Ended up buying one local. My 3 month old Gobi order is set for February production. I am currently selling my Gobi I bought locally and there is another NIB Gobi in Oklahoma. Those are your best options without waiting. Even at Group Buy pricing, the Gobi isn't worth waiting if you can pay full price for one in the marketplace section.
That being said, I have 2 Gobi's to sell and I took advantage of the Prinsu 10% off coupon (Winter10) and ordered a full-length rack.
I love the people that complain about wait times from gobi when they ordered from them and were told 12-16 weeks I confirmed my gobi order on sept 6 1-16 weeks puts me at first week of january and I have already confirmed with them tht it is shipping jan 8th seems like they were right on track especially with the holidays, natural disasters and everything else that has been goin on in the world if you want to complain dont order it get something else and stop looking for something to cry about!

May I ask why you're selling the Gobi and going with Prinsu? I have a 4th gen and was debating between those 2 companies and another.

I have every right to complain about something I own and something I am waiting for.
BTW - I ordered my Prinsu 12/22 and it will be here 1/4. That's including two holidays

I am on the fence about exactly which one I want. I love the Gobi look. There is no doubt it is the best looking rack IMO. Gobi's IG account shared my picture and said "looks so good it makes sports cars jealous" and I agree.
When the Prinsu gets here I will directly compare the racks.
Prinsu Full length- Looks like something I could make from materials at Home Depot. Very modular though. Add the Front Runner RTT quick releases, mount the awning, and the lightweight and zero rust issues offset the looks a bit.
Gobi Stleath- Looks amazing. I love walking out to my 4Runner. Weighs down the 4R even when the rack is empty. I think it weighs 150-180 lbs? Add my 185 lb CVT tent and awning and that's a lot of weight to lug through an off-road trail. The rack makes a good bit of noise. I've tried to adjust my fairing and still haven't gotten it as silent as some reviews on here say it is. Big MPG killer. I saw a bigger hit adding the Gobi than adding my lift and 285s.
Decide what you plan to do with your rack. Do you off-road a lot? Are you more of a camper? Do you carry an RTT? You really need to decide what fits your needs best. Looks? Gobi. Light and modular? Prinsu. Either way you cannot go wrong.
But Gobi looks so good...

That makes perfect sense. Sounds like a prinsu is more for me as it’s my daily and that weight is a killer, plus the rust issue you mention and also the price difference. I’ll mostly only use it in the summers for camping. I’ll hopefulky be getting a RTT within the next couple years so that’s the primary purpose. My runner doesn’t even have a stock rack! Barebones but the build is progressing nicely

Gobi states on there specifications for the Stealth is 70 lbs.

I've been in the car/truck community for an extremely long while and have seen/heard plenty of complainers, I also never stated I was tired of hearing anything. Again, I just stated a fact you are complaining about what was advertised when you ordered the rack!

I made a few comments in the previous post comparing the two. I just installed my second Gobi rack ~2 weeks ago. Waited ~20 weeks for that one.
After having both racks the Gobi is hands down my favorite. Second time around I have managed to get the wind fairing adjusted a bit better for wind noise and MPG. This experience has been much better than my first Gobi.
The prinsu is a great rack! My best advice is to go with the one that fits your budget, lead time, and most of all the one you think looks the best. You will not be disappointed with either rack.
I had never seen a full length Prinsu on a 5th gen 4R in person. No one local had one for me to compare. I had to buy it to see what it looked like. Had I seen one in person, I would have not bought the Prinsu and just stuck with the Gobi.
