any chance a rip in the intake boot cause a po440? (evap code, only 1 code).
I have the boot taped up but dont think its sealing 100%.

no, But if not sealed correctly depending on where the leak is located it can and will cause problems down the road. If you know you have a leak ....fix it!!

the most common fix for your issue is clean or tighten your gas cap. If that doesnt fix it turn to the evap canister and associated hoses

A rip/tear/crack on the rubber boots between the MAF and metal intake will cause a P0171.
