Any changes for 2017 model?

Congrats!

Yeah, I'm sure it's nothing major. Probably they'll just make some options standard or something. I'm in no hurry, so I can wait. I think. haha!

I have a 2004 SR5, it's my first 4Runner, and I am hooked! I bought it new in 2004 and have almost 106,000 miles on it. ;-) I love it a ton but I think I'm ready for an update!

I'm really trying to hold out for the 2017 model! I'm hoping they throw some kind of improvement over the 2016 in it, so the wait for more news is killing me!

I found a good deal on a 2016 SR5 but if the 2017 has something cool I know I'll regret getting it. ;-) Anyone else feel my pain?!

Only 106?

I have a 2004 SR5, with almost 200k miles, also my first 4Runner... and it feels like its just getting started...

I absolutely dont feel like I need an update... If I ever got another one, I would keep my 04 and turn it into a monster off road rig.

Okay, now you just made me feel guilty! ;-) I've never kept a car this long, 6 years was my previous record! But I drove my hubby's 2012 RAV4 recently and I got jealous over some of his cool technology. (I'm a gadget geek!) I still have to use a cassette deck to listen to my iPod. ;-)

I love the bigger size of the new 4Runner, and we are planning a road trip to Texas (from northern Virginia, 20 hours of driving) in 2017, so I also like the idea of a safer car!

But I do love my 4Runner, it's the funnest car to drive and it's beautiful! I have thought about keeping it, but it's just not practical unfortunately. :-(

There's an adapter you can buy that plugs into the back of the radio that's made for an icrap... Err Iphone / ipod. You can also get the Bluetooth module and use that.

Sent from the drivers seat of my 05 4runner.

I've seen those and thought about it, but it looked like you had to pull too much of the car apart to get to it, so I've been afraid to do it!

It's all part of the fun. I mean it's no worse than lifting, working on parts, fixing broke stuff, anything of that sort. It's so day to get that center apart. There's only a couple bolts, the rest snaps in/out. Could do it in a lazy afternoon.

I'm afraid I'd end up breaking something and it wouldn't all go back together right. ;-)

I did replace all of the light bulbs in the panel, it is so nice to see what climate buttons I'm pushing again, and the temperature/computer was half dark too. I feel like it's brand new again! haha! That was super easy!

They showed off the 2017 4Runner TRD Off Road Package (Trail Prem rebadged) at FJ Summit and it was just a regular 5th gen with floor mats, seat stitching and badges.

Yeah, I'm hoping they're making some tweaks to the SR5 too, maybe throw in some formerly optional features as standard. Surely it will have something tempting, or I'll try to find a 2016 for cheaper! I'm not in a hurry, so I can wait, but I am excited, which makes the waiting harder! haha!

As far as we were told no major changes to the 2017. Toyota is focused on merging scion into Toyota next year so you won't see much change in any model.

I would like to add though that having a 2000-2009 4Runner would be nice to upgrade to 2016-2017, but if you have 13-16 model not so much of an upgrade to to 2017 if that makes sense.

Yeah, I don't expect anything major, but maybe something little. I'm afraid to buy the 2016 and then be like, OH MAN! IF I'D ONLY WAITED A FEW MORE MONTHS I COULDA HAD THAT! ;-)

Haha im the same way but ended up buying a 2016 limited last week. To be honest I think Toyota is getting ready for a 4Runner remodel in the next couple years.

If you keep waiting though you'll wait forever haha

Yes that makes sense! I have a 2004, so it's going to be an exciting update for me!

I almost jumped the gun on a 2016 this week but I'm afraid of buyer's remorse! ;-) Once they release more info on the 2017 I'll make my decision and buy then. I won't be waiting for the 2018!

Yeaaaa the limited was kind of an impulse buy for us. But we had a corolla with 2 kids and I have to fit a lot of my camera equipment in the Corolla. I said never again and went ahead and got the 4Runner. Now I can fit all my camera equipment easily [emoji51][emoji51]

We had a Corolla too! And I had a VW Jetta but then got into dog sports and needed something to haul my dogs and all of their gear in! I barely had enough room for my last big road trip, so I look forward to a little bit more room in the 5th generation. I just couldn't make myself get a Sienna like everyone else has, I love my 4Runner too much!

If you did that you were almost there! Lol. Only a couple more things.

Oh?! Is there a youtube video or web page with instructions? I wouldn't mind doing that to hold me over for the next few months! ;-)
