Any changes for 2017 model?

This is a pretty significant change to the Trail Edition if true:

"Replacing the bygone Trail model in the 4Runner stable, TRD Off-Road gets suspension upgrades and styling changes that would befit the little brother of the TRD Pro. Foremost among those upgrades are new Bilstein monotube shock absorbers that provide improved wheel control over bumps."

Will start rolling into dealer lots last week of December/ first week of January. My order starts production December 5th.

We are just as excited as you regarding the new 4Runner's, however, and we are sorry, as information on the 2017 4Runner is currently unavailable. Toyota will release information such as styling, specifications, features and options closer to the launch date.

2017's are on the lots now. 2018 will be introduced (just like the 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, etc) in early fall of each year. The ONLY time this changes a bit is when they are launching a new generation of an existing model or a completely new model. When that happens they are usually shown at one of the major car shows (Detroit, LA, Texas, etc) up to a year in advance. This is the way Toyota does things. They do not deviate. All you have to do is look at history to predict the future.

When I search for 2017's thru a local dealer's website (Freeman Toyota, they are the biggest dealer in Dallas/Ft Worth...also checked a couple others), they don't show any 2017's available. Which seems strange to me. Maybe they are on the lots where you live, but they don't seem to have made it to Texas yet.

The timeline you describe is exactly what I would expect also, but the absence of the 2017's on local lots is a wrench in the works for that theory.

There's a difference between being introduced (which the 2017 was a few months ago) and being on the local dealer lot. The 2017's were introduced right on schedule. The availability of them is about a month behind. No big deal really.
 
Can whoever did this photo shop with the new Tacoma front end do the same thing on a Magnetic Grey 5th gen? I can only pray the new 4Runner has this front end on it. It's sick! And pray it doesn't come with the black stuff around the wheel wells.

You should pray hard that they change their mind about the new 3.5 engine they want to put on the 2018.

I used to be a religious man... I used to pray, then they took away the V8...

Now I am an atheist with a V6.

4Runner is doomed... I'm buying an extra 4th Gen just for parts.
