Any fix for the fuel door rubbing??

Gent,

I have done a lot of searching on here for a fix for the rubbing fuel door and haven't found a fix that gets the door flush with the body. Seems like a lot of people have this problem. The fix is to pull out the door a little from the body but it drives me nuts looking in my side mirror and not seeing it flush with the body! :rant:

I just used both hands to grab the open door at the top and the bottom and then give it a little twist in the right direction. Done.

I tried this as well, but like the op said, it either sticks out or rubs. When I just bought mine, I was like ''what the...'' lol. Just pulled and twisted, so now it sticks out a little and still almost rubs. There's some paint chipped back there too.

One day someone will have a clever idea on how to fix this or even get a better looking replacement. Until that day arrives, we are stuck with a silly bump on our side or a unpleasant scratch in our body.
