Any good 4in or more lifts?

Hi everyone, I have a 96 runner, auto tran, 4wd, I currently have 3inch ome/bilstine lift. I love it, it's great and tough as hell (I jump her a lot) but I want to stuff 35s under my baby when I get my shrockworks bumpers/sliders/and winch. So I'm looking for a 4inch or more lift kit that is reliable! Any one have luck finding some? Ive searched and searched but all I can think of is adding 1.5inch spacers. But I really would like a straight spring lift no spacers. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Also if anyone has put 35s under there 3rd gen what does it require? Cutting the fenders, wheel spacers? Thanks again!

Those links should get you started. Really 3 inches is about the max amount of lift the front suspension can handle. Anything more than that will require you to do some cutting and install a drop bracket style lift or do a SAS. The IFS can't handle much more than 3 inches of lift and still have everything work the way it should.

If you want more, do a body lift. You're gonna have to trim for 35's whether you do a body lift or not but it will be less trimming if you do one.

Even with a 2 inch body lift, 3 front/4 inch rear lift, cut fenders, and bashed the firewall, I still rub with 35's when fully flexed.

As stated, your options are limited for something tough with IFS above 3". SAS :thumb3:

Unfortunately, there is no kit for the above 4runner. That is all custom fab work and all very high dollar parts. If you have a 4runner and about 10 grand, that may get you started with that suspension.

A 4" Tacoma Pro Comp kit works on the front end of our trucks. I know a few local guys that run them, and have the lower control arm drops and steering drop, so it drops your steering rack and all, and actually looks pretty mean. That is a true 4" kit for us. Some modifications would be required though, and the kit alone is ~$2,000.

I was honestly just being a smart ass lol.. I know it's custom fab work. He just asked for a 4" lift kit or higher and I said here ya go.

There's tons of these threads out there.. Just sayin, a little searching would have helped him.

FWIW, I have 35's. 3" suspension, 2" body. Cut finders, grind and cut pinch welds, a lot of measuring and trimming. 35's aren't for everyone.

Thanks for the help guys, I think I will just keep my lift and put a 1inch body lift, and 1.25 inch wheel spacers, keep my cv angle moderate. What diff gearing should I go? I have a 3.4 with an auto, has 4.10s in her now, seems like the people with stick run 5.29s but I don't want my gearing to be as high as there's. So what would you recommend?

My brother is running a set of 35/12.5/15 on his 92 land cruiser with no lift and no rubbing. Quite impressive. But again thanks for the help guys!

I had seen the post about lifts before, but it was a good recap as I read it a while ago, and I spent about an hour and a half reading the link with 35s so dang sexy!

Also I have been contemplating doing a solid axle swap, but at the moment with my price range it isn't going to happen, that will have to wait till after I go through tech and start bringing in money. When that happens I'm super charging her, swapping to a stick, and getting full body protection, roll cage, bumpers, sliders, roof rack, and complete skid protection.
